The Institute Favelarte is new, but old theories of inclusion: Education, Culture and Entertainment which together with the application and give collective social responsibility … And in our case, the flag of our training, ongoing support to participants attended in our projects to be offered to partners, developers of capital employed in the public sector volunteers, the private sector.

Our flagship at that time (first half of 2010) is the “Cine Educate Providence – CEPE -” prepared by a multidisciplinary team and having the front as the experienced multimedia coordinator James Silva. He presented the proposal which together here in favelarte enhance and develop it in the proposed Port Zone in our area of inspiration and legitimation for inclusion in the slum. Not any slum – in the slum, the first and authentic in its geography steep, Morro da Providencia. So the Christian name of the project “Educating Cine Providence.”

At the core Morro da Providencia, part of our team is also engaged in preparing the project “Favela My, My Story” conceived by three of our founding members: Luis Torres, Mauricio Time and Renato Barbosa. This project in preparation methods and content of juice is our existence as an institution.

It will not only this community and when complete beginner, Providence is the place for testing and application, then follow by reference to the project to move forward and reach other communities. They will be chosen by the model and associated profile and looking for alternative housing and proletarian survival of the poor and disenfranchised, who was born in Providence in the nineteenth century, in other words, apply social models of our society historically we left these potholes and social problems we have today, our goal of intervention and overcome them.

The concept being developed in this project is the dissemination of the last upgrade of slums and disqualify their current names associated with various criminal gangs operating in the state. The project preparation will value the vocation of slum core legal alternative to historical survival of the socially excluded in our society is the socio economic aspect, is the ethnic aspect or regional phenomenon that migration over Brazil produced swelling of multiple states of the Brazilian Center -South and regional urban centers.

This project “My Favela, My Story” will be a methodological tool for building the historical vocation of the communities, stock photography and multimedia as attractive modern skills of new generations. This project sure to reach its goal of recovering self-esteem and respect of awe that we had in our communities and in society in general some time ago of the old relations (impersonator of experience) with younger (in creating dynamic but respectful and solicitor of the old in their wisdom and life experience).

We want this project to restore the dialogue between generations, past and present with the future and serve as the Hip Hop aesthetic model of global experiences of the young community, as the old and traditional samba that involved and gave marks of generations of yore communities, using a term the poet Hose and Brazil Mestre Cartola, in the “old days”. This is the essence of the project we are developing. Dialogue between the new and old and hence have a creative synthesis of the communities in slums and suburbs, these profiles of assistance with the project.
